The people of the department recently organized a ceremony of recognition to Minister Amadou Koné whose intervention was decisive in the purchase of all the product at the approved price.

Successful mission for the President of the Diabo Emerging Town Association, Rebecca Yao, who, as part of the cashew campaign, recently carried out an information and awareness tour in the Botro department. This mission, under the sponsorship of the Minister of Transport, Amadou Koné, has allowed, in partnership with economic interest groups (Gie), to buy local producers more than 60 tons of cashew at the approved price of 375 Fcfa / Kilo.

This important purchase, which gives a happy ending to the 2019 campaign, resulted, at the end of the mission, in a ceremony to recognize the people of Botro and the sub-prefectures of Diabo and Languibonou to the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara, and Amadou Koné.

Rebecca Yao, member of the Rhdp political bureau and president of the Diabo Emerging City Association, who led the mission, welcomed the commitment of the local people who allowed the purchase and removal of the cashew stock from all the Botro department. "To this day, there is no more gram of cashew nuts left in the Botro area," she said.

The president of the Diabo Emerging Town Association, however, lamented the lack of reliable statistics on cashew production and purchasing flows. "This state of affairs stems from smuggling organized and fueled by individuals who carry out intoxication campaigns and who encourage producers to sell their cashews to usurers on the grounds that the government of President Alassane Ouattara will never buy the approved price. They go even further by asking parents to refuse to sell their stocks to the Gie in order to harm the image of President Alassane Ouattara, "denounced Rebecca Yao.

She urged her "parents" and the producers to trust President Ouattara and not to give credit to "the irresponsible practices of politicians who want to prevent the emergence of the department of Botro".
