The main objective of the workshop was the official launch of PNRA's crop defense project for the improvement of cashew nut by controlling pests of cashew. 
"The improvement of cashew nut production by controlling cashew pests" is the theme of this workshop, which is part of the project to promote the competitiveness of the cashew value chain. cashew nut (PPCA) in Ivory Coast. 

"The needs of the cashew industry have been translated into a research idea, and it is these ideas that have been consolidated within this PNRA program," says Aswan Amon Brice. The country aims to increase its productivity in cashew plantations and improve the quality of raw cashew nuts. The expected results are 650 / kg per hectare of average raw cashew yield in the areas covered by the project. 

It should be noted that it is with the support of the State of Côte d'Ivoire with the support of the Ivorian research institutions and universities and the financial support of the World Bank that the national cashew research program (PNRA) was born.
