Promote the labor rights of the cashew and shea sectors especially in connection with health and for the promotion of decent work in these sectors. Not to mention the ratification of Convention 129 on labor inspection in the sector ... These are among others, the recommendations made to the State by the actors operating in these two sectors.
These organizations and unions hope to obtain, the inclusion in the 2020 budget law or after but in the near future, the exemption of production equipment in both sectors.Similarly, these actors hope to see the promotion of labor rights in the cashew and shea sectors, especially in relation to health and the promotion of decent work in these sectors. The ratification of Convention 129 concerning labor inspection in the sector is also a recommendation made to the State by these actors.
In order to better guarantee better competitive conditions for the shea and cashew nut sectors, the civil society and trade union organizations, through a position paper on the integrated development of the shea and cashew nut sectors, formulated the recommendations listed above in the direction of Government and Parliament.
Also, they want a review of the law on inter-professions and negotiate a framework agreement between the inter-branch and the state. In addition, for better supervision and regulation, these CSOs propose the updating of laws, laws and decrees on the protection of the shea resource and on the regulation of the marketing of shea kernels and ensure their respect.

In addition, these organizations remain in favor of Law N ° 2017 -39 of 03 November 2017 prohibiting the production, import and marketing of non-degradable organic plastic bags in the Republic of Benin by introducing a provision which is an exception to the packaging of the cashew nut for export.
In addition, CSOs and trade unions are seeking from Parliament and the Government the ratification of ILO Convention 129 on labor inspection in the agricultural sector with a view to taking into account the social protection of workers in the agricultural sector. workers in the agricultural sector.
Finally, the CSOs and the unions of Benin grouped within the Pascib, Dedras AKB and CNV-Cosi undertake to create and share a space of dialogue with the decision-makers at the levels (local, regional, and national) to satisfy the expectations in terms of solutions to the problems that hinder the empowerment of small-scale processors and the development of inclusive markets for the cashew and shea sectors.
To do this, they intend to accompany and follow the draft decrees in progress for their adoption, to collaborate in the development of (decrees, decrees and laws) to be taken at the end of pleadings.
